Will I see my banner before it is painted?
Yes! A digital proof will be emailed to you for approval before painting begins.
This allows you to review: • spelling • names • dates • colors • layout
Painting will begin only after your approval is received.
Can I request specific colors?
Yes! You can request colors to match your party, school, team, or event.
I will do my best to match your vision.
How long does it take to complete a banner?
Completion time varies depending on:
• order volume
• design complexity
• season
Ordering early is strongly recommended.
If you have a specific deadline, please include it in your order form, and I will do my best to accommodate your event date. Rush orders are based on availability and subject to an additional fee.
Why don’t you offer copyrighted characters or licensed designs?
Pavey Design Banner Co. operates with integrity and respect for intellectual property laws. For that reason, I do not recreate copyrighted characters, licensed imagery, or trademarked designs.
Many popular characters, logos, and graphics are legally protected. In order to operate within clear legal guidelines and maintain the integrity of my business, I will not reproduce any licensed imagery or likeness of it in any way.
However, I absolutely love working creatively within themes!
If you’re planning a wintery princess celebration, I can incorporate icy, snowy lettering, blue-toned accents, and snow-inspired details. Hosting a mermaid-themed party? Think coral reef colors, ocean elements, and playful patterns. Planning something full of bows and polka dots? We can layer coordinated colors and decorative details that feel cohesive and festive.
My goal is always to capture the essence and mood of your event — while ensuring your banner remains fully compliant with intellectual property guidelines.

Do you accept all banner requests?
I love creating banners that celebrate meaningful moments, and I’m always happy to review your idea. However, not every design request will be the right fit for my business or style. Pavey Design Banner Co. reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
What material are the banners made from?
Each banner is hand-painted on high-quality brown builders paper using quality acrylic paint. Every piece is carefully crafted by hand.
Are banners weather resistant?
No. Because these banners are hand-painted with acrylic paint on builders paper, they are not weather resistant and are recommended for indoor use or temporary outdoor display only, if weather permitting.
Any exposure to moisture, wind, or prolonged outdoor conditions may cause damage.
Are banners reusable?
They can be, yes! With proper care, banners can be reused for future celebrations, room decor, or keepsakes.
How do I hang or display my finished banner?
There are several easy ways to hang your banner, including:
• painter’s tape (in tape loops on the back) • command strips • glue dots
Hanging materials are not currently offered with banner purchases, but may be offered as add-ons in the future. Further recommendations and tips can be provided upon request.
When is payment due?
Full payment is required before design work begins and prior to creating your digital proof.
Your invoice, payment instructions, and link will be provided after your order request is reviewed.
Payment secures your order, locks in your slot on my schedule, and allows your digital proof to be created.
Why is payment required up front?
As a small business creating fully custom work, payment up front secures your place in my production schedule and allows your digital proof to be created.
Because each banner is designed specifically for your event, my time and creative work begin immediately after payment is received.
What is your refund and cancellation policy?
Because each banner is custom created:
• Orders cancelled after the digital proof has been created, but before painting begins, are eligible for a 50% refund. • Once painting has begun, payment is non-refundable.
This policy reflects the time, design work, and materials already invested into your custom piece.
If I pay up front but don’t love the design, can I cancel?
Your digital proof is provided for review before painting begins. As a long time professional designer and artist, I have been creating pieces for customers for years. I feel confident that we can find a solution you are pleased with.
If you still choose to cancel after the digital proof has been created but before painting begins, a 50% refund applies per the cancellation policy above.
What if I change my mind after painting has started?
Once painting has begun, the banner is already in production and materials have been used. For this reason, payment is non-refundable at that stage.

Pavey Design Banner Co. is based in Independence Missouri, near the I-70 and 291 HWY interchange.
